Join us for a Fun Friday Crop on Friday, January 13th, from 10 a.m. till 11 p.m. Fee is $5. Meals are on your own, but tea and snacks will be provided. Call or come by to register.

India Davis will be teaching a "Friends" Watercolor Card Class using Ranger Re-Inkers on Saturday January 14th at 1:00. The cost will be $13.00, which includes technique instructions, materials to make the card pictured above, and stamped images to practice with. You will need to bring your basic tool kit, plus a clear stamp block, a No 2 liner watercolor brush, a No 2 round brush, white Stickles, and a "Stormy Sky" and a "Vintage Photo' Ranger re-inker. The prediction of our next mini-snowstorm deserves the honor of a mini-sale, to help you stock up in case you get snowed in! On Friday and Saturday, regular-priced merchandise will be 20% off! Our first "Beyond the Page" class for 2011!

We've been listening to your input, and the general consensus is that project classes would be the way to go--so we are trying again with classes, beginning in January! The project pictured above is a Kaiser photo display frame, made from MDF and painted black. The project can be hung on a wall or placed in a stand, and would make a terrific Valentine's Day gift for someone special--or a treat for yourself to display pics of your loved ones! Here is the class info:

Date and Time: Saturday, January 22, 2011, from 1 until 4

Cost: $28.00

The frame, paint, and paper will be provided in the class kit. You will need to bring your trimmer, scissors, and 6 or 7 black and white photos, including some that can be trimmed to 3" x 4". We will also need a liquid adhesive such as ZipDry or Beacon 3-in-1, which will be available for purchase the day of the class if you do not already have some. Class attendees will receive 20% off any regular-priced purchases they make that day. Payment is due at the time of registration, and space is limited. 205-640-3999

After the class, we will be having our annual Mixer, where you'll get to know your fellow scrapbookers! The Mixer will begin at 5:00 and will continue through 7:30. Drinks, plates, desserts, and cups will be provided; each participant should bring a potluck dish to share with the group, along with an album or project that you would like to show off. (Don't worry--we'll keep the food away from your work!). Part of the goal of our store is to build relationships between crafters and foster a community of friends who can have fun and fellowship together, and this mixer is the perfect opportunity for you to become a part of that! The ACS's slogan is "Official Sponsor of Birthdays", so we decided to celebrate all of our attendees' birthdays at once with an "un-birthday" party, a la Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter! The fee of $89 includes a $25 donation to The American Cancer Society, as well as all-day crop time, an on-site store, special coupons and discounts, a demo/make-n-take, two meals and snacks, a mini-album kit, a t-shirt, special treats, prize drawings from local businesses, lots of fun and fellowship--and an opportunity to win a $50 gift certificate to our store!

We are partnering with The American Cancer Society to host an all-day fundraiser crop! The ACS's slogan is "Official Sponsor of Birthdays", so we decided to celebrate all of our attendees' birthdays at once with an "un-birthday" party, a la Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter!

The fee of $89 includes a $25 donation to The American Cancer Society, as well as all-day crop time, an on-site store, special coupons and discounts, a demo/make-n-take, two meals and snacks, a mini-album kit, a t-shirt, special treats, prize drawings from local businesses, lots of fun and fellowship--and an opportunity to win a $50 gift certificate to our store!

The crop will be on Saturday, February 26, 2011, from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. at Moody City Hall.
Registration opens on Tuesday, October 26th. We have SOLD OUT our last three events and expect this crop to sell out quickly too, so payment is due at the time of registration. Payment by December 15th earns a $10 merchandise voucher, good for a year from the date you register.

Not usually one to give in to peer pressure...but it seems lately that I've had SO many friends who have reminded me about one of our first blog entries from waaaay back in July of 2008, that it now seems impossible to ignore....So I'm giving in. =)

Our fall Scrapbook Goodies Yard Sale will be Friday, September 10th, and Saturday, September 11th. If you would like to participate as a seller, please let us know asap! Spots are limited to the first 25 sellers who sign and return the sellers' agreement. E-mail us at scrapbookprincess@windstream.net for details!

Fall Retreat will be October 1st through 3rd at the Retreat House at the Springville Camp and Conference Center! Your fee of $149 includes two-nights lodging, crop space, five meals, snacks, mini album kit, make n take, a goodie bag, special coupons and discounts, and some surprises! We set up a payment schedule to make it as easy as possible for you to attend:

A deposit of $49 holds your place;
The second payment of $50 is due by Saturday, August 14th;
The final payment of $50 is due by Wednesday, September 15th.

If you participate in the Yard Sale, you can apply your sales to the final payment, so if you earn $50 in store credit, you actually only have to pay $99 to attend the retreat!

If you make your payment in full by July 31st, you'll receive a merchandise voucher for $20, valid for an entire year!

Cosmo Cricket's mid-season release, "DeLovely", has arrived! Cosmo has always been one of our favorite companies to work with, and with this release, they have really outdone themselves. As you can see, it is stinkin' adorable...

Speaking of our fave companies, Bo Bunny has also released some terrific mid-season collections. We received an e-mail last week, which had us pretty excited already, but then yesterday...I opened the mailbox and found a surprise! The Bunny had sent us a sheet of each of the papers from the new collections. After I stopped hyperventilating over the new prettiness (yes, I did...ask the hubby!), I decided to put the papers to good use. I have a very difficult time deciding on what to order, so I thought some customer input and a contest would be a good idea!

So here's what we're going to do--I have sleeved each of the new papers and put them in an album. If you spend $20 or more, you can vote for the paper in each collection that you cannot live without, which will help me order what all of YOU like. =) If you spend $40 or more, you can enter a second time by guessing which collection you think is MY favorite! We'll draw for TWO winners, each of whom will win a Bo Bunny prize package with goodies from the new collections! Contest will run through Friday, May 21st, at closing.

Okay, I couldn't resist giving that title to a post containing a picture of Pink Paislee's new collection "Starlight"...sorry for the corniness!

The collection is lovely...two colors of alphas--and lots of them...thermography textured element stickers, with a set of yellow banners on the sheet...and a scalloped die-cut paper...and all the rest double-sided papers. This company has hit another one out of the park. Yum.

Our next "Journaling with Jenney" class will be on Saturday, April 10th, at 10:30. The cost for the class is $12. A supply list will be e-mailed to you when you sign up. Credit card payments can be taken over the phone.

Same deal as last month...take Jenney's class, and you can stay and crop until 10 p.m. for free! The Second Saturday crop is normally from 3 till 10, with a $5 fee--what a bargain!

"Second Saturday" Crop is this Saturday, March 13th, from 3 until 10. Dinner is on your own, but you are welcome to bring snacks to share while you crop. Last Friday's crop sold out, so let us know asap if you plan to attend! Cost is $5. (See below for details on how to get in for free!). No kids please! Croppers 13 and up only.

National Scrapbook Day "Garden Party" Crop will be here before you know it! There are now only 11 spots left! The cost is $59 for 9 a.m. till 11 p.m. crop time, three meals, make-n-takes, a goodie bag, a mini album kit, and other surprise treats! We're using the meeting room at Moody City Hall, right across the parkway from the store, so you'll have plenty of room! Payment is due by Saturday, April 24th. We are able to take credit card payments by phone.

This Saturday, March 13th, Jenney Mc will be teaching a journaling/layout class at 10:30. You will get materials and instructions to complete the pictured layout, as well as easy technique tips for use on other layouts and projects. The cost for the class is only $12. The last day to sign up is Thursday, March 11th.

The class fee includes a FREE pass to our "Second Saturday" crop from 3 till 10 that night! Last week's crop sold out, so let us know asap if you plan to take us up on this offer!
